J. Kirkman Moorhead

John Kirkman “Kirk” Moorhead was born and raised in Anderson, South Carolina. He received his undergraduate degree From the University of South Carolina in 1988 and his law degree from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.

Mr. Moorhead was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1994, after which he returned home to practice trial law. In April of 1996, he joined lawyer Steve Krause’s practice. Mr. Moorhead’s focus is criminal defense work and plaintiff’s trial work, particularly medical malpractice and wrongful injury cases. His bar admissions include the U.S. Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Moorhead is known by his clients as a patient, hardworking attorney who genuinely looks out for their interests.

As he began practicing law, Mr. Moorhead also began what has now become a thriving family of four. He and his wife of twenty years stay busy between baseball, soccer, swimming, fishing, dance, piano, homework, friends (young and old), family, and continued efforts to have fun and keep learning. It’s getting a little harder each year, but Kirk is determined to keep up with his kids.
